As part of our pledge to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, we adopted six Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2017 and doubled this to 12 goals in FY2022.
In 2023, we embraced SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), bringing our total to 13 adopted goals. We aim to continue aligning our goals and targets with international best practices as we progress in our sustainability aspirations.

EcoWorld’s sustainability vision is to develop thriving, low-carbon communities by balancing environmental stewardship, social well-being, and strong governance across all its developments.
EcoWorld’s ESG focus areas include climate action, energy and resource efficiency, biodiversity conservation, community well-being, and ethical governance.
EcoWorld embeds sustainability through thoughtful master planning that include with green spaces, water-sensitive design, energy-efficient infrastructure, and community-centric amenities in its townships.
Sustainability at EcoWorld is overseen by the Board of Directors and supported by the Sustainability Committee which is chaired by the CEO with members comprising of the Group’s senior leadership team in charge of all operational and support divisions. On- ground execution is carried out by our ESG councils made up of Heads of Departments and other key middle management personnel. This ensures ESG considerations are integrated into strategy and risk management as well as daily operations and decision-making.
EcoWorld aligns its sustainability reporting and governance with recognised frameworks such as GRI Standards and Bursa Malaysia’s sustainability disclosure requirements. The Group also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) to align its sustainability aspirations with the global agenda.
Guided by the Group’s Climate Change Policy, EcoWorld’s climate change approach focuses on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving energy efficiency, and supporting low-carbon development practices across its projects.
