JOHOR BAHRU: Eco World Development Group Berhad (EcoWorld Malaysia) and Star Media Group’s #AnakAnakMalaysia Walk is as back again with walks in Klang Valley, Penang and Johor – all on National Day. In Johor, the #AnakAnakMalaysia Walk takes place in the 613.8-acre Eco Spring township in Tebrau.

More than 2,000 people joined the fun evening walk around the beautifully landscaped township. The 4km route brought participants around Eco Spring, Eco Palladium, Spring Labs and the scenic 18-acre Urban Park @ Eco Spring. The Urban Park has a host of community centric facilities and amenities such as a basketball court, football court, gazebos and playgrounds.

EcoWorld Malaysia divisional general manager Phan Yan Chan flagged off the walk. Phan said that the walk is a testament of Malaysia’s unique spirit of unity. “We have so many Malaysians from diverse backgrounds proudly wearing the #AnakAnakMalaysia wristband to walk together for the love of our country. I hope that this spirit of togetherness continues to live on in our hearts, especially that of the youth – who are our nation’s future,” he said.

This year’s #AnakAnakMalaysia campaign theme is #BetterMeBetterMalaysia, which relays a simple message that a better Malaysia begins with each person, embracing change and doing their best.

The event in Eco Spring featured an amazing food bazaar of 50 stalls with popular local delicacies. Participants were also entertained by fun games, workshops, a Zumba workout, live performances, a photo competition and lucky draws at the event. One lucky person walked away with the grand prize of a 3 days & 2 nights stay at Pulau Rawa, Johor.

In keeping up with the celebratory tone, EcoWorld Malaysia also took the opportunity to unveil the latest list of tenants for its Eco Palladium retail outlets and shop offices in Eco Spring in a well-attended event earlier in the afternoon. President and Chief Executive Officer of EcoWorld Malaysia, Dato’ Chang Khim Wah was present to welcome to greet the new tenants.
