Sihat Malaysia 2025: Mission 1000 – Family Hearts for Little Lives

ISKANDAR PUTERI: The long weekend at Eco Galleria, Iskandar Puteri was filled with energy, laughter, and heartfelt moments as Sihat Malaysia 2025: Mission 1000 – Family Hearts for Little Lives successfully gathered families from across Johor and beyond for a cause that truly matters — giving premature newborns a fighting chance at life.

From 29 August to 1 September 2025, the four-day family bonding charity event brought together more than 1,000 participating family groups in an engaging mix of health-inspired activities, interactive challenges, and festive celebrations, all while supporting neonatal care at Hospital Sultan Ismail (HSI).

All participation fees of RM30 per family group are being fully channelled towards the purchase of an Intensive Care Infant Incubator for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at HSI. To ensure the equipment is sourced and delivered to the required standards, all funds will be banked into Alpro Pharmacy under its CSR initiative, which will handle the procurement and direct supply to the hospital. Any funding shortfall will be fully supported by EcoWorld.

A total of RM42,950 was collected and presented to Cheah Mun Wei, Co-Founder of the Pregnancy, Breastfeeding, Parenting Group by Mr Phan Yan Chan, Divisional General Manager, Eco South in a mock cheque presentation ceremony held on 1 September.

“At EcoWorld, we believe in creating lasting impact through initiatives that touch lives. Through Mission 1000, we are not only bringing families together but also helping premature babies receive the critical medical care they urgently need. This initiative forms part of our AnakAnakMalaysia (AAM) campaign this year, themed Sihat Malaysia, which celebrates unity, wellness, and community spirit — encouraging Malaysians to live healthier and stronger together,” said Phan.

The event also offered an exciting line-up of family-friendly activities designed to promote healthy living, creativity, and togetherness. Highlights included the Time Attack Family Challenge featuring eight fun stations, the Parent-Child Healthy Cooking Contest, an Eco Bucket Drum Workshop, Shrink Art & Face Painting, and an Amateur Talent Challenge.

Visitors also enjoyed the vibrant Merdeka Fiesta Market, live busking sessions, and Malaysia Vibes Night, creating a festive atmosphere that brought families and friends closer while celebrating the nation’s spirit.

Sihat Malaysia 2025 is part of EcoWorld’s AnakAnakMalaysia (AAM) 2025 campaign in conjunction with Merdeka and Malaysia Day. This year, the Group embraced a broader commitment to inspire healthier, stronger, and more connected communities. By combining wellness, family fun, and philanthropy, Mission 1000 demonstrates the power of collective action in making a meaningful difference to the lives of premature newborns in need.
