JOHOR BAHRU: Eco World Development Group Berhad (EcoWorld Malaysia) handed over keys to proud owners of Laman Indah 2, an affordable housing development under the Rumah Mampu Milik Johor (RMMJ) scheme in Tebrau Corridor today. The development is adjacent to EcoWorld’s Eco Spring project.
The ceremony was witnessed by YAB Dato’ Mohamed Khaled Bin Nordin, Menteri Besar Johor.
Laman Indah 2 consists of 146 units of double storey terraced house with a 1,070 sqft built up priced at RM150,000. All units come with three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Tan Sri Liew Kee Sin, Chairman of EcoWorld Malaysia said the Group was proud and delighted to be part of the Johor State Government’s initiative to ensure affordable housing is made available and attainable for the people of Johor.

“We have also ensured that Laman Indah 2 carries the EcoWorld DNA such as the gazebo and playgrounds with 10% of the development area dedicated to green spaces,” added Liew.
Although Laman Indah 2 falls under the affordable homes segment, it offers an incomparable quality of life. Residents enjoy access to a range of amenities that have been planned for the Eco Spring township. These include beautifully-landscaped parks as well as upcoming retail developments comprising a shopping mall and retail shops.
Built at a strategic location in the Tebrau Corridor, Eco Spring is easily accessible via several major highways, including the Eastern Dispersal Link (EDL) Expressway, the North-South Highway and the Pasir Gudang Highway. YAB Dato’ Mohamed Khaled Bin Nordin, Menteri Besar Johor lauded EcoWorld for its commitment in supporting the state government’s efforts in providing affordable housing for the people.
“We are extremely delighted to be able to handover the keys to the owners in the given time frame. Kudos to EcoWorld for being able to meet the deadline and for the support toward the RMMJ. With developers all working together to achieve the objective, we are thus able to commit to another 40,000 units of homes to the existing 60,000 units that has been announced last year,” said Khaled.
The event also saw the launch of the Perumahan Komuniti Johor Jenis B and marked the opening of registration of interest for the public who qualify under the scheme.
The development which will complete in three years will consist of two apartment blocks with a total of 543 units. Built up for each unit is 850 sqft and is priced at RM80,000. Interested applicants may visit erumah.johor.gov.my for more information.
