EcoWorld Starlight 2015 New Year Concert Tour kicks off in Penang

PENANG: About 10,000 people thronged the SPICE Arena when they came for a night of good music and lively entertainment at the EcoWorld Starlight 2015 New Year Concert.

Headlined by Chinese singer-songwriter Wang Lee Hom, the concert was organised by property developer Eco World Development Group Berhad (EcoWorld) as both a platform to welcome the new year with its purchasers and a gesture of gratitude for their strong support.

Tonight’s event marks the first of three lined up with the next concert scheduled on 24 January at the developer’s EcoSpring & EcoSummer Show Village in Tebrau, Johor and the final one on 31 January in its EcoMajestic Show Village in Semenyih, Selangor.

President & CEO of EcoWorld Dato’ Chang Khim Wah said the Group was excited to be celebrating the upcoming Lunar New Year with Penangites, after having set up the EcoWorld Gallery in Penang recently. The EcoWorld Gallery is located on Jalan Macalister and was opened in December last year.

“We are delighted to be in Penang and happy to see such a strong turnout for the first EcoWorld Starlight 2015 New Year Concert,” said Chang.

Wang sang and enthralled the crowd with some of his greatest hits and newer numbers in his first concert in Malaysia since launching a new album. The Taiwanese heartthrob, who is well-known for his musical talents and for being a perfectionist, performed with his own band of musicians.

Local favourites, Melody Tan and Najwa Latif, the two songstresses who rose to stardom for their respective performances of Wang’s 2010 hit song, All The Things You Never Knew, also took to the stage and vowed audiences with their strong vocals.

Penangites were further treated to a world-class showcase of magic and illusions by renowned illusionist Daniel Craven who was one of the opening acts.

Chang said the Group is looking forward to making its presence felt in the state with the launch of EcoWorld’s first development there very soon.
