EcoWorld signs Memorandum of Understanding with University Reading of Malaysia

JOHOR BAHRU: Eco World Development Group Berhad (EWDG) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) today with the University of Reading Malaysia (UoRM) for a collaboration to provide quality accommodation to students of the university, at the developers Eco Nest serviced apartments.

Dato’ Chang Khim Wah, President and CEO of Eco World Development Group Berhad said: “We are excited to be working on this new collaboration with the University of Reading Malaysia to provide quality accommodation and an English-inspired living experience to students from across the world.”

Eco Nest is the Green Mark certified serviced apartment component in the 270-acre Eco Botanic township which offers full-fledge condominium facilities that include an indoor badminton court, gym, swimming pool, gourmet kitchen and sky garden.

Located in the heart of Iskandar Puteri, Eco Nest is a convenient location not only for UoRM but EduCity as a whole with its growing community. “With EduCity flourishing as Iskandar Malaysia’s education hub and a reputable university like UoRM playing a crucial role in the its development, it will be an exciting time for our township of Eco Botanic and the surrounding area to grow in tandem with EduCity,” said Chang.

Eco Nest is also purposefully and strategically situated in Eco Botanic’s commercial centre and surrounded by Eco Boulevard which consists of shop offices & Eco Galleria which is the high-street mall. “All these components coming together will not only benefit the residents but the commercial owners as well and is truly a holistic living environment for all, Chang added.

Eco Nest offers units in various built-ups starting from 582 sq ft and prices from RM550,000 as well as duplex units that are 1,238 sq ft and priced at RM1,069,000 onwards.

In addition, the developer is also excited to have the opportunity to be able to extend the expertise of Team EcoWorld to benefit the students in the courses related to property development with various activities such as visits to the galleries and show villages.

This strategic MOU follows the launch of EcoWorld’s “My Happy Place” campaign across the three regions of Klang Valley, Penang and Iskandar Malaysia last weekend. The 3-month long campaign encompasses various activities in all EcoWorld Galleries and is open to residents, purchasers and the public to visit and experience what an EcoWorld development has to offer.

“Being happy is a simple yet great feeling. Whether it’s a personal space or an experience that brings joy, comfort and peace, we at EcoWorld hope everyone who visits us feels the happiness around them,” Chang explained.

“2017 is indeed a very exciting year for us as we will be handing over more projects across the region. We have already welcomed our first batch of residents to Eco Botanic at the end of 2016 and we are eagerly gearing up to welcome more residents this year. We are committed to delivering the best in product and service quality and our aim is to ensure that our customers are happy,” he added.

“My Happy Place” campaign affirms the Group’s mission in Creating world-class eco living in all developments as they are all masterfully planned and meticulously designed to ensure that one will always find happiness and joy in an EcoWorld development.

The campaign will feature a series of events such as:

  • World Culture Festivals at Eco Spring & Eco Tropics (Iskandar Malaysia)
  • World Cuisine Carnival at Eco Botanic (Iskandar Malaysia), Eco Sanctuary (Klang Valley) & Eco Meadows (Penang)
  • LED Park – Flower Show 2 at Eco Majestic (Klang Valley)
