Eco World Foundation Hands Over Kapsul Ilmu to SJKT Bestari Jaya

BESTARI JAYA: The Eco World Foundation celebrated another milestone in its mission to empower education with the official handover of Kapsul Ilmu, a mini library cum multifunctional activity centre built for SJK(T) Bestari Jaya through the support of Eco Ardence.

The new facility — named Kapsul Ilmu to reflect its role as a vessel of knowledge — offers students a comprehensive, modern and conducive learning space designed to cultivate a love for reading and digital learning. Completed in just three weeks at a cost of RM42,000, this marks the fourth Knowledge Capsule delivered by the EcoWorld Group this year, bringing the total investment to RM204,000 across all four projects.

Speaking at the ceremony yesterday, Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye, Chairman of Eco World Foundation, said: “The Kapsul Ilmu is more than just a library — it represents our ongoing commitment to nurture young minds and to strengthen the schools that we support under the Foundation’s Students Aid Programme. Beyond providing financial assistance, we want to create learning environments that inspire creativity, collaboration and curiosity.”

Equipped with air-conditioning, open-concept design, floor-seating facilities and simple furnishings, the Kapsul Ilmu provides a comfortable and interactive environment where students can read, learn, and explore. The space also supports teachers by providing a relaxed venue for professional discussions and idea sharing, promoting a stronger culture of collaboration within the school.

Going beyond traditional reading spaces, the Kapsul Ilmu is also equipped with internet access to facilitate digital learning and AI literacy. Students can complete computer-based assignments, explore educational games such as Kahoot, Duolingo and Prodigy Math, and record their reading progress using the AINS system. These facilities make the learning experience more interactive, collaborative and enjoyable, especially during after-school hours when students wait for their parents.

Strategically located in the school’s green courtyard, the Kapsul Ilmu is easily accessible and designed to be a lively hub for outdoor classroom sessions, co-curricular activities and reading events. It not only benefits students but also strengthens the connection between the school, community and sponsors, creating a truly functional space that unites all parties in the spirit of shared learning.

Tan Sri Lee expressed appreciation to Dato’ Ho Kwee Hong, Divisional General Manager of Eco World Development Group Berhad, and the teams from Eco Sanctuary, Eco Ardence and Eco Grandeur for their dedication and teamwork in completing this meaningful project within such a short timeframe.

“I hope the students will make the best use of this Kapsul Ilmu and cherish the facilities provided. Please take good care of it, so that future generations of students can also benefit from this gift,” Tan Sri Lee added.

SJK(T) Bestari Jaya is one of the schools under the Eco World Foundation Students Aid Programme (SAP), with 32 students currently receiving support. Nationwide, the programme assists approximately 2,000 students yearly, reflecting the Foundation’s sustained commitment to help underprivileged children stay in school and reach their full potential.

The Eco World Foundation remains steadfast in its mission to uplift communities through education. By supporting schools of all streams with enhanced facilities and learning opportunities, the Foundation continues to drive the EcoWorld Cares vision — to build a more caring, compassionate, and knowledge-driven Malaysia.
