SEMENYIH: Eco World Development Group Berhad’s [EW Berhad] flagship township in the Klang Valley, Eco Majestic, achieved another milestone today with the opening of the Lekas-Eco Majestic Interchange.
The new dedicated interchange now provides an additional entry and exit point to the 1,089-acre township. Exit 2102A on the LEKAS Highway will lead straight into Eco Majestic’s commercial precinct.
Today’s event was officiated by the Minister of Works, Dato’ Sri Haji Fadillah Bin Haji Yusof.
EW Berhad Chairman Tan Sri Liew Kee Sin said the Group was delighted to reach another important milestone in the development progress of Eco Majestic before the first handover of homes end of this year.
“Eco Majestic was but a dream over two years ago, but today, we stand here proud and tall to see our vision of timeless elegance turning into reality.
“As with all EcoWorld projects, we made a promise that Eco Majestic would come with the desired connectivity, infrastructure and amenities before our residents move in. Today, we have reached another mark with the opening of this dedicated interchange that leads straight into the commercial precinct of the township called Eco Majestic City,” said Liew.
He added that the interchange was built at a cost of RM50 million and the developer had also spent another RM165 million on improving existing infrastructure and construction of new road networks into the township. In total, EcoWorld has pumped in RM215 million to improve connectivity and accessibility into the township.
President & CEO of EW Berhad, Dato’ Chang Khim Wah said: “We are excited to welcome our first residents soon and the team has been working hard at continuously enhancing the value of the township. The new interchange will not only help ease congestion into Eco Majestic but cut short travelling time to Kuala Lumpur city centre to about 35 minutes.”
“We expect the interchange to benefit not only our residents but the community and businesses in surrounding areas such as Rinching and the Beranang.“This new connectivity will bring growth and vibrancy to this corridor and is very much in line with our vision to have Eco Majestic as the preferred destination for all in the Semenyih corridor,” added Chang.
The toll plaza has a total of 12 lanes, with 6 lanes on each side. Ten lanes are equipped by EcoWorld and the remaining two lanes by LEKAS. The highlight of the interchange exit is the first-of-its-kind drive through reload counters at the toll plaza supervision building.
Chang also shared that with the new interchange, Eco Majestic will now be accessible via three entry points which is the East Gate via Jalan Semenyih, the North Gate (Exit 2102) via the grand Red Carpet Bridge and the West Gate via Exit 2102A from the LEKAS Highway.
“We would like to express our gratitude to all our partners including the Ministry of Works, Lembaga Lebuhraya Malaysia (LLM) and LEKAS in making this happen for Eco Majestic today. None of this could have been accomplished without the effort and hard work of Team EcoWorld and our partners for the past two years,” he said.
Chang said the Group remains committed in its efforts to continue enhancing Eco Majestic’s value for its residents and surrounding community and is looking forward to welcoming the township’s first residents very soon.
