CHAMPIONING EDUCATION: ECO WORLD FOUNDATION CONTRIBUTES TO SJKC YU HUA

KAJANG: Eco World Foundation continues to demonstrate its dedication to education by assisting SJKC Yu Hua. The Foundation sponsored some desks and completed two colourful murals and one block of classrooms painting project recently. This CSR initiative, aimed at enhancing the learning environment for students, highlights the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to educational development.

During the handing-over ceremony at SJKC Yu Hua today, Eco World Foundation Chairman Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye emphasised the Foundation’s strong belief in education as a crucial investment for the country’s future. “A quality education has the transformative power to change someone’s life for the better. This is the reason why we are driven in providing help to the schools in need.” said Lee.

Also present at the event were Dato’ Chang Khim Wah, President and CEO of Eco World Development Group Bhd Evon Yap, Divisional General Manager of Eco World Development Group Bhd; Wong See Lee, Headmaster of SJKC Yu Hua and the Board of Governors of SJKC Yu Hua.

This is not the first time the Foundation has come to the aid of SJKC Yu Hua. In 2019, the Foundation donated 150 sets of desks and chairs worth RM16,500. This was followed by another 150 sets of desks and chairs a few months later, bringing the total contribution sum to RM33,000.

This year, the Foundation donated another 50 desks to SJKC Yu Hua worth RM6,000, while another RM12,000 was spent on paint supplies and tools for the one-day CSR murals and painting project which involved 44 volunteers from Team EcoWorld.

Lee said the provision of desks, coupled with murals and classrooms painting, aims to create a better learning environment for students so that they can excel academically. He added that the Foundation has always emphasised the importance of organisations contributing to education through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects and was delighted that EcoWorld employees were able to participate in lending a hand to SJKC Yu Hua once again.
