Puncak Alam: Eco World Development Group Bhd’s (EcoWorld Malaysia) largest township in the Klang Valley – Eco Grandeur reached a significant milestone today with the opening of its Bridge of Dreams.
The event was officiated by Yang Amat Berhormat Dato’ Menteri Besar Selangor Tuan Amirudin bin Shari. Also present was Chairman of EcoWorld Malaysia, Tan Sri Liew Kee Sin.
This marks the beginning of a new chapter for Eco Grandeur as the township prepares itself to welcome its first residents when Phase 1 of its terraced and garden homes are ready. Known as Graham Garden and Avenham Garden respectively, a total of 1,824 units will be handed over beginning October 2019.
“Eco Grandeur’s Bridge of Dreams is symbolic in that it represents a grand welcome home for residents. The iconic towers in the middle of the bridge, standing tall at 16m [about 5-storeys high] will be difficult to miss. This will truly be a landmark for the northwest corridor as it looks like a lantern lighting up the night sky to warmly welcome residents and visitors alike.
“We are excited to move into the next phase of Eco Grandeur’s growth as a township and look forward to receiving our first residents here soon,” said Dato’ Chang Khim Wah, President & CEO of EcoWorld Malaysia.
The 1,400-acre Eco Grandeur is EcoWorld’s largest township to date. Designed with first-time homeowners and young families in mind, it is strategically located near the growth areas of Sungai Buloh and Kota Damansara, with easy access to Kuala Lumpur City Centre and the rest of the Klang Valley.
Arriving at Eco Grandeur, the Bridge of Dreams takes you across the Dragonfly Lake and offers a stunning introduction to the Modern Victorian influenced architecture that distinguishes the built environment in the township. With a length of 200m and width of 28m, the bridge also serves as an ideal vantage point from which to take in the scenic garden views of the 62-acre town park, also known as the Dragonfly Park.
The development pays tribute to the dragonfly because they were spotted in abundance on the site. “Because they thrive where the air is fresh and waters are pure, dragonflies have become a symbol of a healthy and balanced ecosystem that is well represented in Eco Grandeur. This inspired the creation of the stunning dragonfly-shaped lake that dominates the verdant town park,” Chang explains.
The Dragonfly Park also serves as the new home of many transplanted trees from the site when land clearing first began. The park will be one of the focal points of the development as it offers an outdoor amphitheatre that is able to accommodate hundreds to thousands of people for a variety of events.
Since its launch over three years ago, the development landscape at Eco Grandeur has evolved to become more vibrant and now includes an exciting commercial hub known as Grandeur Labs.
“On the commercial front we are proud to showcase Grandeur Labs, which has been up and running since June 2018. This has definitely increased foot traffic to Eco Grandeur. Designed as retail in the park, Grandeur Labs offers a retro modern concept where the retail lots were designed to fit into the landscape masterplan. Instead of the landscape complementing the buildings, it is vice versa. What you will find here is retail activities within the garden setting as you take a stroll in the park,” Chang shares.
The developer is now working towards Phase 2 for Grandeur Labs which will include a 15,000 sq ft lifestyle grocer and additional F&B offerings which will be operational by 2020.
Apart from the stunning landscapes at Eco Grandeur, the development also includes communal elements such as children’s playground, seating areas and artworks. Residents can also look forward to urban farming and market spaces for the community to plant and sell their produce in the future. There is even a bicycle lane stretching over from the neighbouring bike park.
The first bike park of its kind, Trex covers 3.7 acres along the green spine of Eco Grandeur, linking the entire development from east to west. It opened in November last year and has quickly become a family destination for many residents of Puncak Alam and its surrounding areas. Trex is a hive of activity in the evenings and especially on weekends.
“It is indeed heartening to see how Eco Grandeur is growing organically even before our residents have moved in. We are delighted to have the surrounding communities enjoy the amenities and hope our residents will enjoy them too. Our commitment to add value to Eco Grandeur will continue with plans for schools opening by 2021,” Chang added.
Connectivity-wise, the township is expected to flourish with the completion of the Damansara-Shah Alam Expressway (DASH) and the West Coast Expressway (WCE) in mid-2020.
Up next, Eco Grandeur will be introducing a new phase of garden homes called Regent Garden. This comprises a series of garden homes which are infused with the Victorian aesthetic blended with a modern sensibility.
Instead of a regular park, Regent Garden boasts camping grounds, allowing residents to get even closer to nature, romping around the wide open spaces, enjoying the fresh air and sunshine, and gazing at the star-studded night sky.
The 24’x55′ Regent Garden is now open for registration. Call Eco Grandeur at 03-3270 2525 for more details.
