The #AnakAnakMalaysia Walk 2018 made its way to Johore this weekend with a 4km walk held at Eco Tropics. The walk was flagged off by Y.B Dato’ Haji Salahuddin Ayub, Minister of Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry alongside Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye, Chairman of the #AnakAnakMalaysia Organising Committee.
This is the second #AAM walk following a hugely successful turnout in the Klang Valley that took place on 2 September at Eco Ardence, Shah Alam which was graced by Y.A.B Tuan Amirudin Shari, Menteri Besar Selangor.
Participants were delighted to find different pit-stops with interesting themes revolving around popular games such as Super Mario, Pacman and Monopoly constructed along the scenic route which provided the perfect backdrop for photos as they walked through the Eco Tropics township and the spruced up 33-acre town park – West Lake Gardens.
The RM5.4 billion Eco Tropics is a mixed township known for homes that are inspired by the timeless architecture of The Hamptons resort on Long Island, New York. The township is the first gated-and-guarded development in Pasir Gudang.
Eco Tropics sits on a 991.6 acre freehold land and is built along an eco-masterplan with sizable green pockets throughout the township. Back lane gardens, jogging and cycling tracks are a common feature in the township. To date, Eco World Development Group Berhad (EcoWorld Malaysia) has transplanted more than 2,000 trees in Eco Tropics to minimise the environmental impact of construction and to maintain the surrounding ecosystem.
The Group has welcomed its first batch of Eco Tropics residents when they handed over the keys to their purchasers of their maiden launch – the Greensgate precinct, which consists of 558 units of the double-storey terraced houses, earlier in June.
Eco Tropics’ latest launch is the 20’ x 70’ Millsgate precinct – 2-storey terraced homes that are priced from RM575,000 onwards. Be a part of the Eco Tropics community with the Group’s latest ownership assistance programme called Help2Own which runs for a limited time only. Prior to the meaningful walk, the crowd were entertained by the EcoWorld Choir and Team EcoWorld singing the #AnakAnakMalaysia song while the EcoWorld Symphony Drummers also showcased a rousing performance with the lively crowd following every drum beat. A group of EcoWorld Polis Bantuan personnel demonstrated a paramotor performance just before the flag off as well.
Participants also got to enjoy an array of activities with various food and game stalls set up after they completed the walk and received a RM15 Travel Voucher courtesy of Klook in their goodie bag.
The fun-filled day drew to a close with several lucky draw winners walking away with prizes. The Grand Prize lucky draw winner won a Samsung 50” Smart TV with other lucky draw prizes such as an Apple Ipad Wifi 9.7” 32GB, an Oppo F7 mobile phone and many more.
Throughout the duration of the campaign, which will continue on until 16 September 2018, Malaysians are encouraged to creatively express their patriotism by sharing photos and videos of themselves posing with the wristband on social media platforms as well as the dedicated #AnakAnakMalaysia website at www.anakanakmalaysia.com.
