Eco Horizon unveils show village & ushers in the Christmas season

BATU KAWAN: Following its successful launch in September, Eco Horizon unveiled its new show village today featuring six show units showcasing variations of 2-storey homes with the Colonial Portico concept.

Located in Bandar Cassia, Eco Horizon is the latest project for Eco World Development Group Berhad [EcoWorld Malaysia] in Penang. Its maiden launch called Ashton, comprises 704 residential units with built-ups ranging from 2,290 sq ft to 2,601 sq ft. The 2-storey terraces are 22ft x 70ft, superlink homes are 25ft x 75ft and garden homes are 30ft x 60ft with prices starting from RM818,000.

The first gated and guarded landed residential development for EcoWorld Malaysia in the Batu Kawan corridor, Eco Horizon features the classic DNA of an EcoWorld development. Residents and visitors alike are greeted by a signature master roundabout when entering the development before passing through a grand entranceway.

The most talked about and anticipated feature of Eco Horizon will be its twin Flamingo Lakes, a 13.6-acre flamingo shaped water body and landscaped park located at the centre of the township.

Another unique feature of the development is the centralised clubhouse that will be built on a 3-acre land with various amenities such as an Olympic sized swimming pool, community hall, lounge and even a dedicated BBQ area.

President & CEO of EcoWorld Malaysia Dato’ Chang Khim Wah said the Group was truly excited with the opening of another EcoWorld show village. “We have been very encouraged by the response shown on Eco Horizon and finally, we are ready to showcase in more detail our vision for Batu Kawan.”

“We are delighted to be able to create another EcoWorld development that affirms our mission of creating world-class eco living in all our developments. We want to offer products that enhance the lifestyle and give our customers a premium. With the show village now ready for viewing, we hope to give prospective purchasers a better idea on what Eco Horizon is all about and serve our customers better,” said Chang.

The 300-acre Eco Horizon has a gross development value of RM7 billion and is strategically situated just off the primary interchange linking the Second Penang Bridge to the North-South Highway with prominent landmarks in the immediate vicinity such as the Batu Kawan Stadium, Batu Kawan Industrial Park and several educational institutions.

Batu Kawan is set to become the third satellite town of Penang after Bayan Lepas and Seberang Jaya due to its strategic location and close proximity to the Second Penang Bridge, which connects Bandar Cassia with Batu Maung on the Penang Island.

This new area is also poised to draw a wide and varied pool of investments across various sectors through the development of a 150-acre SME Village that offers ready-built factory units and a service centre for the development of local investors.

Commercial developments planned within Batu Kawan include premium outlets, hotels, resort hotels, hospital resorts and Taman Aqua, a theme park with Meetings, Incentives, Conferencing & Exhibition facilities. Notable developments in Bandar Cassia include the first IKEA store outside the Klang Valley, the Penang Designer Village, University of Hull, Columbia Asia Penang, KDU University College and Penang International Technology Park.

In conjunction with the show village opening, the Group welcomed the impending holiday season with its `Light Up Every Heart’ campaign. Visitors were welcomed by a 24 feet giant Christmas tree at the show village alongside the show units which were decked with festive lights and decorations.

The main highlight of the campaign is the two-day Christmas Shopping Bazaar which features an array of stalls such as Ogawa, Miniso, Christy Ng Shoes, Starbucks, Helen’s Handmade Bears, Utterly Ice Cream and more alongside 30 food trucks at the vicinity. Other activities include Santa Claus appearances, snow sessions and a host of lively performances.
