The excitement begins – Star Property Fair 2013 is back!
The Star Property Fair 2013 running this weekend until Sunday, Nov 10 promises to be a one-stop destination for discerning home buyers and investors as well as first time home buyers.
Launched by Minister of Housing and Local Government secretary general Datuk Seri Arpah Binti Abdul Razak together with Real Estate & Housing Developers’ Association (REHDA) president Datuk Seri Michael Yam and FIABCI Malaysia president Yeow Thit Sang at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, the three-day fair saw participation from over 50 exhibitors showcasing about 180 booths.
The fair offers home buyers and investors the best of luxury properties from some of the top developers in the country, including SP Setia, Sime Darby, Mah Sing, UEM Sunrise, Land & General Berhad, IOI Properties and Mah Sing.
Setia Haruman Sdn Bhd’s Centrus Soho1 project located at Cyberjaya attracted interest from several property seekers. The developer’s senior sales consultant Farimah Hasan said, “This is a good start. The couple who bought it are first time home buyers who are tired of renting and want to have a place of their own. Priced at approximately RM800,000, the project is freehold and partly furnished,” she said, commenting on the first sale transacted today.
Eco World Development Sdn Bhd is promoting its latest project EcoNest serviced apartments at EcoBotanic township in Johor. Scheduled to launch by the end of this year, this freehold township is strategically located adjacent to EduCity which is targeted to house approximately nine education institutions. The indicative price for the serviced apartments are from RM750 per sq ft onwards. They are also promoting another high-rise project – Eco Sky in Taman Wahyu, Kuala Lumpur. The project comprises of three towers with an average of 300 units per tower.
According to Eco World sales & marketing executive Josh Lau, the first two towers – Tower A and B was launched on September 22 and is already sold out. Tower C is now open for registration. Priced from RM750 per sq ft, the units come with built-up areas ranging from 926 sq ft to 1,800 sq ft. All units come with two car parks.
SP Setia sales & marketing executive Yeong Meng Yen shared about their featured project – KL Eco City which is nestled among affluent residential areas such as Bangsar, Pantai Seputeh and the commercial precinct of KL Sentral and Mid Valley City. “Throughout these three days, we will be promoting our boutique offices. Tower A and B is already 99% sold. Tower C is now open for sale. It is priced at about RM1,300 per sq ft,” said Yeong. He added that another parcel of KL Eco City – Setia Hotel & Residences is currently open for registration. “It is targeted to launch by mid of next year,” he said.
Penang property developer BSG Property is showcasing their project The Landmark at Tanjung Tokong. The 41-storey tower has 242 units of serviced suites and 66 units of residential suites. Launched in August 2012, approximately 70% is sold. According to BSG Property sales & marketing executive Khoo Kay Gen, the units are priced from RM1.086mil onwards with built-ups ranging from 799 sq ft to 3,004 sq ft. “The units come fully furnished and if you purchase during this three-day fair, you will receive a special cash rebate as well as sale and purchase agreement (SPA) and loan agreement waiver. We also offer Developer Interest Bearing Scheme (DIBS),” said Khoo.
Apart from exhibitors, there will interesting property-related talks and forums during the three-day exhibition from industry speakers such as MCT Consortium Berhad executive director Datuk Danny Goh who will be sharing on ways to identify potential residential property and mapmaker Ho Chin Soon who will be updating visitors about Malaysia property hotspots and infrastructure.
This year, there will be an exciting new session in store for the visitors of the fair – the Online Property Investors’ Network (OPIN) 3.0. Held tomorrow from 3pm to 6pm, OPIN 3.0 is the third instalment of www.propertyWTF.com.my’s Online Property Investors’ Network. This networking session for online property investors will be joined by renowned speakers namely Fennie Lim, Datuk Danny Goh, Wong Lin Chi and Ahyat Ishak who will be discussing on relevant issues affecting property investors after the implementation of the Budget 2014 measures by the Government.
