Green Initiatives

EcoWorld’s Green Initiatives is a continuous effort developed and administered by the EcoWorld Green Council.

This initiative will contain all the relevant action items necessary to meet the following objectives:

  • Fulfil EcoWorld’s vision of ‘Creating Tomorrow & Beyond’
  • Support EcoWorld’s mission of ‘Creating World-Class Eco-Living in All Our Developments’
  • Instil a ‘Green Mind-set’ amongst EcoWorld staff
  • Promote ‘Green & Sustainability’ in EcoWorld’s branding. The Green Handbook icon shows different EcoWorld efforts throughout township development as individual commercial & residential parcels within the development.

Certifications

At EcoWorld, we take our green initiatives seriously. We are committed to building a sustainable future with developments that not only provide world-class eco-living but one with thriving communities as well as such, we aspire to achieve green accreditations from the green bodies such as the GBI (Malaysia), BCA Green Mark (Singapore) and LEED (USA) in all our projects so that our communities are able to enjoy the benefits of green living and flourish in the future and beyond.

Green Building Index

The Green Building Index (GBI) is Malaysia’s recognised green rating tool for measuring and promoting sustainability in the built enviroment. The GBI rating tool helps developers to design and construct green and sustainable buildings that can provide energy savings, water savings, better connectivity to public transport and the adoption of recycling.

BCA Green Mark

Green Mark is introduced by the Singapore Building Construction Academy. It is a green building rating system that evaluates a building for its environmental impact and performance. It provides a comprehensive framework for assessing the overall environmental performance of new and existing buildings to promote sustainable design, construction and operation practices in buildings.

LEED registered-project

The LEED green building rating system is developed by the U.S. Green Building Council. It is designed to promote design and construction practices that increase profitablitity while reducing negative environmental impacts of buildings and improving occupants health and well-being.

Green Protection

Preserving the natural environment will always be our first priority whenever we are working on a new development as we try our best to integrate the available natural resources into our overall master plan. Green Stewardship

Green Stewardship is an important part of EcoWorld’s philosophy. It’s simple, if you love the environment, teach others to love it as well. A simple belief that can be easily transferred to others, for the benefit of future generations. Watch the video on Green Stewardship to find out more.

Green Living

Our residents enjoy living in a green township and practicing green lifestyles in the sustainable township we’ve created. Giving them methods and tools to lessen their environmental impact has further enforced the Being Green mentality.
